Updated: Oct 19, 2023

SBE Global, SCB Management Group & Sun Chlorella Sports concludes a mult-year management contract with amateur basketball star Leon Shingo!!

Leon is a member of the Globallers Project. This project is for top Japanese basketball player to be integrated into the American sports world. Members of this project will join an American prep school & focus on personal development, sports, & education. This project is guided by Sun Chlorella, Globallers, SCB Management Group, & SBE Global.

Together these groups will be conducting domestic and overseas management activities centered on supporting Leon's personal development, academics, & athletic career development. This program is geared to culturally bridge a gap globally using sports to fuel education, experiences, personal development, & more.

SBE Global - an international sports management organization that specializes in providing comprehensive services to high level athletes. Our services include NIL representation, prep school/college placement, contract negotiation, public relations and endorsements, financial planning and management, and legal services. SBE has over a decade of experience working with athletes from over 50 different countries, and have extensive connections and expertise in the sports industry. Leon is now the second Japan player to join the program after Kedrick Stockman who recently played for the Toyotsu Fighting Eagles in Japan B1 League. Stockman was a member of Scotland Campus Sports in Scotland Pennsylvania under the direction of program directors Chris Chaney & Sullivan Brown. Stockman spent 1 season in prep school & then decided to skip college in the states & started his professional career back in Japan. With 2 newly Japan natives actively on NBA rosters, its safe to say Japan basketball is on the rise! Phoenix Suns Yuta Watanabe & Los Angeles Lakers Rui Hachimura are the only 2 current Japan players on NBA rosters but it will be more to come.

Leon Shingo is a very intriguing player. He has all the ingredients to become an elite level athlete. He shows passion & heart. When he’s on the floor you can really tell that his loves to play & he’s having fun! Those are the type of young athletes that thrive in the right atmosphere.

This Challenge for Leon is an elite level tour where he will be exploring new opportunities & playing against the best young players in the US. He will be in a series of training sessions, top amateur tournaments, national camps, & exposure to college/NBA scouts.

- Program Director Sullivan Brown

Leon was connected to the directors SCB Management Group Inc through international recruiter Yutaka Hirabayashi, who's had multiple international students join multiple academy's across the USA. Together we'll all be apart of a major project that will be a gateway for many other Japanese student athletes through the GloBallers Project.

After arriving in the states this past spring Leon got straight to work! He was in Los Angeles working with pro sports performance coach Sara Harter. He also spent some time in Memphis TN under SBE Global CEO Sullivan Brown. While in Memphis Leon got an opportunity to work with NBA Skills Trainer Jevonte Holmes on a daily basis to work on his ball handling ability, shooting, & to compete against some of the top young players in the country. National powerhouse AAU program Team Thad EYBL took notice & Leon earned a invite to be apart of the team during the spring live period session.

Leon will be attending The Academy of Central Florida in Orlando, FL this Fall to complete his HS Academic & Athletic career. Leon has all the tools to be successful on & off the court. He's an amazing young man with character & morals. Proud to have Leon Shingo apart of the SBE Team
